Aquaman

My goal with this image was to practice spacial relations between numerous objects. I wanted to see if I could pull off many objects in one image realistically. With that in mind, I also wanted to create a sense of a space teeming with life. I wanted it to look almost too busy. I think with color added it would appear even busier. Above all this, I also wanted to portray Aquaman as a hero to be taken seriously. I wanted it to exemplify the title of "Absolute Ruler of two-thirds of the Earth."

Plus I just wanted to draw him on a giant Weedy Sea Dragon. They're much more conducive to riding than seahorses.

Batman and Green Arrow

A gift I drew for a friend's son. He asked me to draw Batman and Green Arrow because they are his two favorite, "powerless", superheroes. I designed it to look like the cover to a new Batman/Green Arrow comic. The title would go in the empty space at top. The men at the bottom are meant to be no more than generic mobsters or thugs, like many early comics had before super villians became the standard.
